A photographic journal of a personal project experimenting with hand knitting.

I want to explore how knitted forms can be manipulated by stitches and natural dye, in a sustainable way. I will be using only scrap yarn, found either at home or the university bins. Making small pieces to fit the size of the left over yarns.

I have made a spindle using objects found at home, a chopstick, hook, bead and fimo clay. All of the yarn I am spinning with has been collected as second hand, or joblots of scraps from sites like Ebay, or charity shops.

I plan to collect all of my scraps of yarn from knitting and card them to create yarns entirely from my own waste yarn.
